This was a toast for Chris, it was his birthday Friday night.
They brought a cake out on stage with candles, and Michael played 'Happy
Birthday' on the guitar for him
Libby says....
I
shot from several different places at this venue, and each time I am
in amongst the crowd. The adoration and love people have for Michael
is almost overwhelming. The looks on their faces, their comments ...
"unbelieveable! once he gets going he is just a machine!!!"
was one I heard. The guy was almost dumbfounded at the precision and
delicate way Michael can play. And he does seem to enter into a trance
or other unearthly state when he is playing. I have to tell you, it
was hard for me to catch my breath a few times and I could feel the
tears start to well up in my eyes. I guess that is basically it with
Michael Schenker, he moves you on levels not usually touched, levels
that are not usually accessed, so when they are, it is almost - well,
actually is, overwhelming. He is a true genius, complete perfection,
and I am honored and extremely proud to have photographed him.
